May we remember...
A Blessing for Aliveness
May we remember that we are reconstituted stars; particles and waves coalescing and coagulating in space-time. May we remember that we are earthly creatures; archipelagos of bone, shifting tectonics, marrow-rich. May we remember that we are 60% water; streams and rivers and lakes and oceans of liquid life, longing. May we remember that we are vibrant matter; enlivened, electric, energetic excitations flickering and firing in a great erotic dance. May we remember that we are full of hot air; inflating and deflating our way through gaseous fields of recycled atmosphere. May we remember our molecular ancestry; an ancient unbroken lineage, every cell of us once another being. May we remember our place in the family of things; our webs of relating as networks of siblings. Kinship not kingship. May we remember that we are teeming with life; entire planetary ecosystems to our microbial inhabitants, cultivating their corporeal habitats. May we remember, when we take our time to land, the scattered ones can find their way back to their constellations of belonging; unique ecologies of being. May we remember as our bodies soften their borders, fully dilated, unclenching the world, membranes infinitessimally thinned; that we feel the world feeling us. May we remember. And come back home to ourselves.
